Personal Firewall Day is also a call to firewall experts to share their expertise and advice with friends, family, and their communities. Every day, crimes occur in the physical world: cars are stolen, houses are burgled, lives are disrupted and damaged. We see them on the news, in the papers, and hear about them on the radio. What we don't often see, however, is how these crimes also happen to computers connected to the Internet. Your connection to the Internet is a two-way street: you can venture forth onto the Internet, but many criminals can follow that same connection right into your computer and do anything they want with it--unless you have a personal firewall.
